The 60's era is taking over television

So they aired the pilot of The Playboy Club on NBC Monday night. The show explores the lives of the employees, known as playboy bunnies, working at the first Playboy club in 1960's Chicago. I am not sure what I think about it yet. I wanted to watch it initially because it is set in Chicago and also it is in the 60's, and I already love Mad Men which has a similar concept. (can't wait for that show to come back!) But of course this show appears to be a Mad Men copy cat...They have the tall, dark and handsome character, Nick Dalton, who resembles and even sounds like Don Draper from MM. Along with a blonde bombshell, Maureen, who also resembles Betty Draper from MM. They also have a little too much going on already, with a bunch of side stories, it's almost too much to keep track of for a new show.

Another rumored Mad Men copy cat is Pan Am, which airs it's pilot this Sunday 9/25 on ABC. The series is centered around the iconic airline Pan American World Airways in the 1960's, focusing on some of the pilots and flight attendants working for the airline in 1963. Including Christina Ricci as Maggie. I have a feeling I will like this show a little more than the Playboy Club.

Which of these shows will you watch?
